For two decades, the Global Brand Conference of the Academy of Marketing's Brand Identity and Corporate Reputation Special Interest Group has become known as one of the leading academic conferences on branding worldwide. The conference brings together top branding experts around the world to discuss and advance the state-of-play in branding research, theory, and application. During the conference, there are a series of themed keynote presentations, industry panels, themed presentations, and other events that focus on the conference theme.
The 2024 conference theme is Conscientious Brands: Making Sustainability and Responsibility Work. Conscientious brands have a clear transformative purpose and a sense of responsibility towards people and the planet. They are built upon their willingness to think issues through critically from the perspective of all stakeholders and to work together to deliver transformative change. The conference theme is timely due to the increasing expectations from stakeholders that brands act with integrity and become a force of good by improving wealth and well-being and addressing existing challenges which affect society.
The conference will be hosted at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), located in the city centre of Edinburgh with excellent public transport and easy access to tourist attractions, hotels, and restaurants.
