The campus is well-served by public transport to and from the centre of the city.

By tram or bus

There are regular, direct service from the airport to the city centre by tram (Edinburgh Trams) Edinburgh Trams or bus (Service 100, Lothian Buses).

While there is no direct bus service from Edinburgh Airport to the campus, you can take Service 100 from the airport to Haymarket Station, walk one minute to Dalry Place, and take Service 4 to "Craiglockhart Campus".

By train

Slateford station is just under a mile from the campus, while Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket stations are situated in the city centre. From Edinburgh Waverley, take a Lothian Buses 4 or 10 from Princes Street or a 45 from North Bridge. From Haymarket, take a Lothian Buses 4 from Dalry Road.

By car

The campus is situated in a residential area to the south-west of the city. Please note that on-campus parking is strictly by permit only, with limited on-street parking available in the surrounding area.

Efficient human and freight mobility is vital to our daily lives connecting communities and driving economic growth. Modern transport systems face critical challenges: they must not only provide reliable and equitable access for all but also address urgent global issues such as climate change, public health, and safety. To address these, they must innovate using new resources like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, IoT, and emerging business models. By leveraging these opportunities, we can enhance efficiency, promote equity, and reduce environmental impacts.

This conference, organized by the Euro Working Group on Transportation, focuses on applying operations research methods, mathematical models, and computational algorithms to transport analysis, planning and operations. While centred on these analytical tools, the event embraces a broader perspective on mobility research. It provides a platform for experts to exchange insights and develop innovative solutions for efficient, sustainable, and equitable transport systems.

Cancellations can be made up to 15 working days before the event for a full refund. After this point, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than three working days before the start of the conference, unless extenuating circumstances apply. All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to EWGT2025@napier.ac.uk. Delegate substitutions may be made at any time at no additional cost.
