This module is only available for students following the MBA (Banking) route. You cannot take this module if you are studying for a generalist MBA, or an MBA with any other specialism.

Financial system: functions, structure, intermediaries and globalisationInterest rates: theory, determinants of supply and demand, equilibrium rates, policiesFinancial markets: money, bond, equity and derivative markets, integration, infrastructures. Financial Institutions: insurance, savings, investment, asymmetric information, moral hazard interest. Modern Banks: organisational structure, activities, risks, regulation, failures, competitive issues.
