Detailed Description
In order for innovative technological solutions in healthcare to be developed, embraced, and integrated into clinical healthcare practices, the practitioner needs to be able to articulate the overall policy contexts driving this agenda, appreciate the potential clinical contexts and applicability of use in their own healthcare practices as well as considering implementation issues such as quality, safety, data management, clinical, and cost effectiveness. This module will equip you with the foundation to enable you to become a thought leader in clinical healthcare technology with a particular focus on transformation of clinical services in your own area of practice.The module will include the following content:
1. Policy and professional practice contexts of the healthcare technology agenda in the UK and Ireland;
2. Drivers for healthcare transformation across healthcare practices;
3. Clinical applications of healthcare technologies in healthcare practice;
4. Clinical implementation: consideration of quality, safety, ethics, data management; clinical and cost effectiveness
5. An introduction to user experiences and the healthcare pathway
6. Identification of opportunities to transform service delivery using process mapping and systems delivery
7. Leading, delivering, and measuring change in this landscape.
