Edinburgh Napier University is pleased to host its 10th Electric Vehicle Seminar, “Powering Scotland’s EV Future: Infrastructure, Innovation and Skills for Net Zero,” on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at the Craiglockhart Campus. Marking the tenth edition of the seminar, the event will bring together representatives from government, industry, further education and academia to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of electric mobility in Scotland. Discussions will consider the wider EV ecosystem, including charging infrastructure, policy and investment, workforce development, research and technological innovation.

The morning session will feature perspectives from Transport Scotland, industry and Edinburgh College, covering the strategic direction of EV adoption and charging infrastructure, practical experiences of infrastructure deployment, and the skills and training required to support the growing EV sector. The afternoon will focus on research and innovation, with researchers from Edinburgh Napier University, the University of Edinburgh and Glasgow Caledonian University sharing work related to EVs and the wider EV ecosystem. The seminar will also provide opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and developing new connections across policy, industry, education and research.
